Our story
It started with one man and a stack of pizzas.
No committee, no headquarters — just a decision to stop walking past hungry people and start handing them a hot meal.
In the fall of 2025, Thomas Esch began buying stacks of pizza in downtown Grand Rapids and handing them out, by hand, to people living on the street. He kept showing up — near Mel Trotter Ministries and Dégagé Ministries, with pizza fresh from Uccello's on Monroe Center — until a one-man act of kindness became a mission.
By December 2025, that mission became One World Nourishment Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) charity. The work stayed exactly the same: real food, placed directly into the hands of someone who needs it, today.
The reach kept growing. Beyond Grand Rapids, One World Nourishment has fed people in San Francisco and Miami, and traveled to Jamaica to help those affected by Hurricane Melissa. Wherever people are hungry, the goal is the same — solve world hunger one person at a time.

Go where people are
Not a building people have to find — the corner, the sidewalk, the spot where someone is going hungry right now.
Hand them a hot meal
Look them in the eye. Spread a little positivity and joy in a world that doesn't have enough of it.
Come back
Hunger returns daily, so we do too. Small acts, repeated forever, add up to a hunger-free future.
